Background:

There was a constant breakdown in communication between the hardware development team & supply chain as the teams had no visibility into each other's functions. The development team did not know the status of the sourcing process for their released components, nor did the supply chain team know when to begin the procurement process for the released components. I approached both stakeholders to better understand their frustration, & condensed their feedback to develop this tracking sheet. This tool logged ALL design & sourcing efforts for ALL mechanical components which aided me in directing these efforts. This sheet minimized the lag time between component release to PO cut from an average of 10 days to an average of 4 days.
